Everyone loves a superhero with a great story, especially real-life superheroes of today.

Rio Grande Regional Hospital is proud to sponsor the outdoor Superhero Trail at Quinta Mazatlán in July and August.

Cris Rivera, Chief Executive Officer of Rio Grande Regional Hospital, states: “We are proud to sponsor the outdoor Superhero Trail at Quinta Mazatlán. Our health system and many other first responders tapped their ultimate superhero strength during the pandemic.  We have true superhero stories of people changing the world for the better!”

The quarter-mile walk through the woods features artistic representations of comic and movie superheroes along with real-life superheroes of today. Valley artists Celerino Castillo and Gaby Rico have created unique works of art on oversized wood peg dolls. The artists hand painted 75 life-size wood pegs representing fictional and non-fictional hero characters.

The Superhero Trail is up through August, but follow Quinta Mazatlán on social media for some “super events”.  Mark your calendar for the KABOOM Comic Book Night with comic book booths on Friday, July 30, 3 pm to 8 pm. Join the park on Super Saturday hosted by the Rio Grande Regional Hospital with giveaways on August 14, 9 am to 12 noon. Tickets can be purchased online for the two events and/or visitation during regular park hours at Remember to dress in your favorite Superhero Costume.

For Comic Book Collectors, the outdoor trail also features large six-foot-tall Comic Book Covers—the best-selling comic books of all times.
