Blueberry Mango Protein Smoothie

With the new year comes the hope and promise of better eating habits, better nutrition and just overall better wellness. And while we can’t eat perfect all of the time (who would want to anyway?) here is an easy treat that packs a healthy punch for morning afternoon or night.

We all know the amazing antioxidant benefits of blueberries and then add to it some protein and delicious mango, and you’ve got a great start to a surely successful and happy day!

Blueberry Mango Protein Smoothie
~ 16-ounces (1-2 servings)
1 cup Soy/Almond/Coconut Milk or Regular Milk
½ cup plain low-fat yogurt, optional if using dairy
2 teaspoons mild honey or alternative sweetener as desired
1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
1 cup ripe mango, fresh or frozen
6 raw almonds, chopped (untoasted)
6 or 7 ice cubes if desired
Vanilla flavored Protein Powder 1-2 scoops as desired

Combine all of the ingredients in a blender, and blend at high speed until smooth. Enjoy right away.
